Greenlam Industries is planning to introduce augmented reality (AR) concept in its Experience Centre thereby help the consumers to facilitate their design selection process. It may be recalled here that Greenlam had launched first-of-its-kind Experience Centre (EC) in Kolkata in March this year to provide consumers with a glimpse of varied offerings. The Company is gearing up to open such ECs in other metros and tier-1 cities over the next 2-3 years.
Greenlam will become the first laminate company in the country to adopt AR technology. Greenlam is planning to introduce AR technology in its Kolkata Experience Centre in next 3-6 months to facilitate the decision-making process of architects / interior designers / end-consumers.
Augmented reality (AR) is an interactive experience of a real-world environment where the objects that reside in the real-world are enhanced by computer-generated perceptual information, sometimes across multiple sensory modalities, including visual, auditory, haptic, somatosensory, and olfactory. With the end consumers being allowed to step foot into a digital model of the room they have in mind, this would enable them to make a well thought out decision.
Spread over 2,400 sqft area, the company’s Experience Center displays its exclusive range of offerings including Greenlam laminates, NewMika laminates, Decowood veneers, Mikasa real wood floors, Mikasa doors & frames, Greenlam Clads and Greenlam Sturdo. While creating increasing awareness of its recently launched categories and new range of offerings, the EC would create significant cross-selling opportunities for the company going forward.
