Aditya Birla owned UltraTech is planning to set up a new WallCare putty plant to cater to the rising demand for the product. This will be the third WallCare putty plant by the company which already has 0.8 MTPA manufacturing capacity. The proposed plant will have an installed capacity of 4 lakh TPA capacity and is expected to be commissioned in Q2FY20. The company is planning to invest Rs 194 crore on the project.

Birla WallCare putty is made for exterior and interior walls. It basically serves purposes like leveling of wall surfaces, and being a protective base for expensive paints and many more.   Coarse Putty is used to level the wall surface. For minor jobs, putty can be easily applied by a brush or with a spray. Putty is primarily used to fill cracks and surface imperfections. Putty is also used for providing a protective base, especially for expensive paints. It prevents the paint from flaking. This putty is also used to fill pores in walls and ceilings.

Birla White is the largest manufacturer of white cement in India, with a capacity to produce 0.56 MTPA of white cement and 0.8 MTPA of WallCare Putty.
