Germanys Waldner GmbH, a laboratory furniture and research equipment manufacturer, is planning to set up a manufacturing base in India. According to Waldner, India is fast becoming the Global R&D hub which presents vast opportunities for the company. Waldner is presently looking out for suitable Indian JV partners.
The company also plans to be a part of Make-In-India drive. The company already has an OEM manufacturing arrangement in India. Waldner is also investigating into the possibility of setting up of local supply chain to cater to the growing Asia market through possible production and JVs.
Waldner envisions Hyderabad emerging as a key R&D hub in India and therefore, announced opening of a new office space at Genome Valley in Hyderabad. Waldner has a 100 per cent wholly owned subsidiary in India, based out of Mumbai.
Waldner Laboreinrichtungen has been developing and producing laboratory furniture for any requirements for more than 60 years. The corporation is globally represented by subsidiary companies in Great Britain, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, BENELUX, India, in the Middle East, in Russia, and in the USA.
