CBSE to have new green HQ

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be constructing a new office building at Sector-23,Dwarka, New Delhi which will have all modern amenities and features. Last year CBSE had invited tenders for appointing Project Management Consultant for the project. Finally, the order has gone to PSU realty major, NBCC.

The proposed building will be a fully equipped state-of-art structure with energy efficient green features as per GRIHA standards. To be built on a plot area of 3 acres, it shall be a multi-storey building with basement parking and auditorium.

The project is estimated to cost Rs 125 crore and expected to be complete within next 24 months.

As a Project Management Consultant, NBCC will also be responsible for design and engineering of the project including civil, architectural, structural, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lab equipment, furniture & IT networking. NBCC will have to call tenders for appointing contractor for executing the project as per CVC norms. Apart from rendering PMC services including obtaining statutory approvals for design and drawings wherever applicable and also obtaining completion / occupancy certificate, NBCC will also have to undertake maintenance of building / campus during the defect liability period of 12 months from date of handover.

It is worth noting that NBCC had also executed CBSE’s regional office at Rai Bareilly and Bhubaneshwar.
