CCMA (Construction Chemicals Manufacturers Association) has conferred Honorary Membership of the association in recognition of his four decades of contribution to the Construction Chemicals industry. He was honoured during the 3rd Edition of SCC, International Suppliers Conference held last week in Mumbai.
Samir Surlaker, a Civil & Structural Engineer from VJTI- Mumbai, has more than four decades of international experience in Concrete Technology, Construction Chemicals, Structural Engineering, Waterproofing, Rehabilitation Strategies, Injection Systems, etc. in Europe, Middle East, Far East & India. As an expert Concrete Technologist, he has developed several Specialty Concretes viz., HPC, SCC, FRC, Acid Resisting Concretes, Foam Concretes, Pervious Concretes etc. incorporating SCMs like silica fume, Aluminates, Fly Ash, Fibres, GGBSF etc. to make the Concretes Sustainable and green. He has published over 100 technical papers and articles in several national & international engineering journals.
The Construction Chemicals Manufacturers Association (CCMA) is the body, mind and soul of the construction chemicals industry in India which is estimated to be of the size of Rs 3,500 crore. The key objective of CCMA is to promote the growth of the construction chemicals industry by raising the awareness and quality standards as well act as a representative body for communicating with government, chambers of commerce, regulatory authorities and other forums, be it domestic or international.
