CEPT University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a mentorship program with McGan’s Ooty School of Architecture, Ooty. As a first step, CEPT will support the teaching and learning in the first year of McGan’s bachelors’ program in Architecture. Over the next few years, McGan’s will implement other aspects of CEPT’s pedagogy along with training of teachers and student exchange programs. CEPT will also initiate similar program with other interested and like-minded institutes in the coming years.
Over the last few years, the CEPT University embarked on a renewal mission: revamping the curriculum, improving teaching and learning across all programs, strengthening advisory services and setting up new and improved teaching facilities. With the recent introduction of the New Education Policy last year, CEPT has set out a new strategic plan to chart its path over the next 10 year. A key new initiative of this plan is to engage with other educational institutes to support their growth and development, with the intention of scaling up the improvements in teaching and learning across the country. With this in mind, CEPT is initiating a new mentorship program for institutes. Through this collaboration, CEPT University will share its long experience in improving teaching and learning with emerging institutes in the country and help strengthen their own programs.
