Anmol Kollegal, a Bachelor of Architecture from Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Art University Hyderabad (J.N.A.F.A.U), is this year’s topper in Masters in Architecture at University of Houston (Gerald D Hines College of Architecture and Design). Anmol will get his Masters at the convocation ceremony to be held in May. Anmol has also won several other awards during two years Masters course in Houston University.
Anmol credits his success to proper upbringing and “right advice by the right people at the right time.” Anmol’s father, Milind Kollegal, is a well-known architect in Hyderabad who runs an architecture firm in the name of MAPE CONNOISSEURS. He completed his internship after B Arch at Christopher Benninger’s office in Pune who suggested him to pursue Masters in Architecture in US university.
However, Anmol’s parents and people in his close circle are not at all surprised by his latest achievement. “He is a brilliant and hard-working person,” said a close relative of his. “Success was bound to follow him.” Prior to B. Arch, Anmol had done Intermediate from Narayana College and studied till 10th at Little Flower High School. He has been a merit student throughout his educational career.
“Post-completion there is a compulsory one year internship in the US after which he will stay there for a couple of years for experience,” said Manjushree Naik, sister of Milind Kollegal. After that, Anmol plans to return to India to take over his father’s architectural consultancy in Hyderabad.
A proud moment for his parents, relatives, friends and architecture fraternity at large in India!
