Institute for Design of Electrical Measuring Instruments (IDEMI) will be holding certificate course on Solar Rooftop Installation. The course is specially designed keeping in mind the increasing demand for solar rooftop installation professionals. Two-Day certificate course will be held at IDEMI office in Mumbai on 11th and 12th August.
The course is meant for ITI/Diploma/Degree in electrical, electronics, instrumentation mechanical, etc. The course can also be attended by BSC/ MSC in physics or electronics or other candidates interested solar power. Solar basics, installation techniques, selection of material, operation & maintenance activities, net metering and hands on training on 5kw rooftop solar system.
The course is devised keeping in mind the increasing demand for solar power professionals. India’s solar generation capacity is fast expanding and stood at 23 GW as at the end of June 2018. Many government agencies are planning to have solar rooftop power units to improve their carbon footprint. For example, recently, Railways announced its plans to install solar rooftop PV systems in its Zonal offices and stations to generate 100 MW power in the coming years.
IDEMI is an organization established by the Government of India in the year 1969 as a service to instrument industry. The main objective of setting up this Institute was to gear up the growth potential of indigenous instrument industry and hence to meet the ever-growing instrumentation needs of the country by augmenting productivity quality control in industrial sector be it in Electrical, Electronics or Process Control Instruments. The Institute is looked upon a nodal centre in view of its multifarious activities offered to suit various needs of instrument industry.
