Kajaria Ceramics has set a target of reaching 100 MSM of tiles capacity by 2020 through greenfield, brownfield and inorganic initiatives. The company has recently acquired 30% stake in Kajaria Floera in September 2018 making it a wholly owned subsidiary. Kajaria Floera is setting up a manufacturing facility of glazed vitrified tiles with a capacity of 5 MSM in Andhra Pradesh which is expected to be commissioned in the first quarter of next financial year. Upon the commissioning of this unit, the overall capacity of the company would be increased to 73 MSM. The company may go for further acquisition, greenfield and brownfield expansion to meet its target. Capacity expansion will help the company to maintain its leadership position in the industry.

Recently, the company forayed into plywood marketing also. According to company sources, the company has a huge network of dealers and distributors for its tiles business. It will use part of this network to do plywood business also. First two years, the company will concentrate only on trading. The company sees huge opportunity in organised plywood business post GST implementation.
