Karnataka Building & Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board is planning to impart coaching to 800 candidates of Registered Construction Worker’s Children through (classroom) offline/on-line as decided by the Board through candidates of Karnataka State for Preliminary and Mains UPSC, KPSC CIVIL SERVICES (Prelims & Mains), RRB, IBPS, SSC & Group “C” posts Examination 2021. For this the Board is planning to appoint competent coaching institutions across the country.
Training will be conducted for 5-6 hours daily for a duration of 7 months. The Board is in the process of empanelling the coaching institutions for this purpose. One of the conditions for the selection of the institutions for coaching is that minimum 20 candidates trained by the Institute must have been selected for UPSC/KPSC/ RRB/ IBPS in last 5 examinations (years).
The Government of Karnataka has constituted the Karnataka Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board under the Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1996 to implement the provisions and the schemes as per the Act. The Act was introduced by the Government of India to regulate the employment and conditions of service of building and other construction workers and to provide for their safety, health and welfare measure and for other matter connected therewith or incidental thereto.
