Martin Burn has entered into a joint venture agreement with Institute of International Trade (IIT) for an affordable housing project. The project will come at Sonarpur in South 24 Parganas district in West Bengal. The project will spread over 4.56 acres of land and will involve construction of 4.25 lakh sq.ft. built up area, the value of which is estimated at Rs 110 crore. Martin Burn will have 80% of the sales revenue while the rest will be taken up by the IIT. The project is expected to be complete in next five years.

Martin Burn is the result of merger of two companies, viz., Martin & Co and Burn & Co and the merged entity came into operation in 1946. Martin Burn Limited is now operated by Fatehpurias.
