Raheja Mindspace Madhapur campus in Hyderabad has received Gold rating under IGBC Existing campus rating programme. Raheja Mindspace is the 11th project in the country to receive this recognition. Also, this is the first commercial project in Hyderabad to receive Gold rating.

The company’s journey in the green buildings space commenced in 2006-07 as the first developer signing a MoU with CII-IGBC. Post which, IGBC officials conducted exhaustive training programmes to ensure smooth planning and achieve desired results.

Raheja Mindspace is an industrial park established in Hyderabad’s HITEC City developed with about 110 acres of land allotted by APIIC. The company is currently in the process to upgrade the campus to make the existing structure world-class. To enhance the campus, the company is exploring various aspects of smart campuses such as smart parking, people management etc and opportunities to expand the existing landscape.Further, the campus uses 1.47 MW of solar power on site and the company is exploring the possibility of using more power from renewable energy sources.

The green footprint at Mindspace comprises 21 per cent landscape cover with 3,500 trees. The campus is 10 million sq.ft of built-up area and comprises 21 buildings with 80,000 occupants. The green building foot-print in the campus is 60 per cent registered and 40 per cent certified.

It may be recalled here that K Raheja Corp had recently bagged the esteemed Green World Awards 2017 for their commitment to environmental best practice at a ceremony held in Dubai. K Raheja Corp was the only developer from India to be awarded in the Building and Construction category and competed against over 500 other nominations in the Green World Awards.
