Professional movements in urban planning have slowed down during last few weeks as most of the resources at the disposal of government agencies are engaged in tackling Covid-19 second wave. Some of the professional movements in urban planning/design during last few weeks are as follows.
Ar. Aishwarya Agarwal is now a Local Pathways Fellow for UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network – Youth. Aishwarya has been involved in urban policy research, strategy formulation, design of various multi-layered urban design projects which include 100 Smart Cities Mission India, master planning, enhancing of public spaces, developing pedestrian-focused Indian streets, and core city areas. Aishwarya is a B Arch from Government College of Architecture Lucknow and M Arch from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
Ar. Aishwarya Jadhav is now a Data Researcher at Urban Liveability Forum, a platform to transform urban liveability through knowledge, networking and enabling communities. She will be working on Urban India Indexing Initiative, focusing on Resilient Smart Cities. Aishwarya is B Arch from Sir JJ College of Architecture and has Master’s degree in Geography and Planning from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd.
Ar. Anusha Kant is now an Independent Technical Consultant for Climate Change, Livability, and Urban Resilience ADB – (TNFUIP), a project undertaken in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank and the Tamil Nadu Government to identify policies for climate change management and adaptation, corresponding state- ULBs levels legislation and regulations. Anusha has done her B Arch from MBS School of Planning and Architecture, West Delhi and Masters in Urban Design from School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal.
Ar. Jahnavi Bhatt is now Junior Urban Designer at MLA+, a practice that works on urban planning, landscape design, architecture and consultancy projects globally with more than 25 years of experience. Jahnavi in her brief career till now has worked on various Indian and international projects. Jahnavi is B Arch from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and has done her MSc in Urbanism from Delft University of Technology.
Ar. Romalika Patra has been appointed as Urban Planner at Jurong Consultants (India) Pvt Ltd. Romalika has done her B Arch from Ajay Binay Institute of Technology Piloo Modi College of Architecture (ABIT-PMCA), Cuttack and Masters in Urban Planning from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. Romalika has a keen interest in research in urban planning and how it can help in resolving various societal problems.
