Professional movements in urban planning

City planning, solid waste management, smart cities, city mobility planning, environment engineering – urbanisation needs experts in multiple fields relating to urban development. Here is the list of some professional movements in urban planning and related fields in the recent months.

Arnab Sen has joined Ernst & Young LLP as Senior Associate. Arnab is an experienced urban planner and, in the past, he was involved in the preparation of GIS based Master Plan of 9 cities of Chhattisgarh. Arnab is BArch from Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur and has done Masters in city/urban, community and regional planning from CEPT University.

Bhaumik Gowande has joined World Resources Institute as Senior Associate – Transport Development. Bhaumik is an experienced professional in public transport planning and was COVID-19 logistics advisor to Municipal Corporation across Mumbai Metropolitan Region for Vaccination, Infrastructure and Emergency Response.  Bhaumik is BE in civil engineering from Mumbai University and has done Masters in city/urban, community and regional planning from University of Illinois Chicago.

Divya Arvind has joined Citizen Consumer and Civic Action Group as Researcher. Divya, an architect and urban planner, is interested in working for different city policies, finance, governance and economic sector. Divya is BArch from Davinci School of Design and Architecture and has done her Masters in Urban Planning from CEPT University.

Neha D is now Project Associate from Development Innovations Foundation. Neha is a post-graduate in Environment Management and Ph.D. student in the field of Forest ecology and Climate Change from Forest Research Institute, Dehradun and has worked with national and international environmental organizations/teams in environmental, forestry, and sustainability and livelihood planning.

Shalini Sharma is now Associate Urban Planner at Stantec. Shalini is a regional Planner and an Architect with wide experience of working in the Architecture, Design and Planning industry. Shalini is BArch from Sunder Deep College of Architecture, Dasna, Ghaziabad and has done Master of Planning with specialization in Regional Planning from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.

Vishnu Menon, a Solid Waste Management professional, has joined Green Village as Project Head. In the past Vishnu had worked in NGOs specialized in the field of Environment Conservation, Solid Waste Management, Community Development, Child Care and Geriatric Care. Vishnu is a science graduate from University of Kerala and has done PhD in social work from University of Kerala.
