Professional movements in urban planning/design sector

Urban design and planning is presently a hot topic and it will continue to remain so in foreseeable future. A brief list of professional movements in the sector in recent months is given below.

Abhishek Mahajan has been promoted as Associate, Urban & Transport Planner at Ernst & Young. Abhishek, is BE in civil engineering from University of Pune and has done his masters in transport planning from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.

Alisha Shaw is now Assistant Professor at Priyadarshini Institute of Architecture and Design Studies. Alisha is B Arch from Amity University and M Arch in Urban Design from Rizvi Education Society’s College of Architecture.

Ande Siva Sai  is now Senior Transport Modeller at Mott MacDonald. Ande is a strategic transport modeller with more than 6 years of experience is also proficient in transport economics. Ande is BE in civil engineering from Vasavi College of Engineering and MTech in transport/mobility management from National Institute of Technology Warangal.

Prakhar Nigam has been appointed as Consultant-Business Operation, Infrastructure and Logistics at  Deloitte. Prakhar has expertise in project management, public policy, monitoring & evaluation, governance, research and strategic consulting. Prakhar has done Bachelor of Planning from School of Planning and Architecture and MBA from Management Development Institute.

Shikha Goel has been appointed as Senior Urban Designer/ Strategic Planner, Darebin City Council, Greater Melbourne Area. Shikha is a strategic planner and an urban designer with experience across business streams of strategic planning, statutory planning and urban design in Victoria. Shikha is B Arch from Chandigarh College of Architecture and has done her Masters in City Planning, Urban Design, Strategic Planning from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. She has also done Masters in Urban Planning and Environment from RMIT University.

Tsomo Wangchuk has been elevated to the post of Associate at Indian Institute for Human Settlements, a national education institution committed to the equitable, sustainable and efficient transformation of Indian settlements. After completing Bachelor’s degree in Planning from School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi  Tsomo, did her master’s in Urban Planning from the same institution in 2019.
