This week’s job movements in Urban Planning & Development

Nearly two months of lockdown and diverted focus on handling COVID-19, there had been a lull in urban development programs which is a temporary phase. In the coming months activities on the urban front is likely to pick up. For this week, some job movements in the field are as follows:

Ishan Tamhane has been promoted as Engineer – Transport Planning at Arcadis. Earlier he was Assistant Engineer-Transport Planning & ITS in the company. Ishan is experienced in traffic operational modelling, transit planning, public transport planning, micro-simulation modelling using PTV VISSIM, and intelligent transport systems (ITS) projects for Continental Europe and United Kingdom regions. Ishan is B.E. (Civil Engineering) from G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering (GHRCE), Nagpur and M.Tech in Transport and Highway Engineering from National Institute of Technology Karnataka.

Krati Jain is now the State Consultant- WASH in Schools program of UNICEF. WASH is the collective term for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene. Krati is specialised in Environment Planning and has worked for policy implementation and advocacy at various levels. Krati has done her Bachelor’s of Planning from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi and Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from CEPT University. She was an Exchange Student with Politecnico di Milano for Urban Planning and Policy Design.

Prasad Shekhar is now Architect and Transportation Planner at Secure Parking India, a company engaged in providing holistic end-to-end solutions in traffic and parking management. Prasad is experienced in Transportation, Infrastructure, Parking, Road Safety and Architecture. Prasad has done his B. Arch from Savitribai Phule Pune University and Master of City Planning with specialization in Transport Planning, Transportation and Highway Engineering from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.

Shikha Singh is now India Smart Cities Fellow under Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The Fellowship is a platform for young planners to jumpstart on innovative and sustainable ideas for the urban milieu. Shikha has done her Master of Planning in Environment Planning from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi and Valuation of Ecosystem Services & Green GDP – a certified course conducted by MoEFCC under Green Skill Development Program.

Surbhi Bhavsar is now an Associate Consultant at Crisil Risk and Infrastructure Solutions ltd. Surbhi has quit Surbana Jurong Private Limited. Surbhi is experienced in the field of Architecture, Urban Development,  Sustainability, Analytics and Impact. Surbhi is a B. Arch from BNCA and holds Masters degree in City Planning from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
