The World Green Infrastructure Network and Indian Green Infrastructure Network (IGIN) are organising the World Green Infrastructure Congress (WGIC) 2018 in Bengaluru on June 4th and 5th. This is the first time an event of this scale is being hosted in the Indian sub-continent. The WGIC will be hosted in The LaLiT Ashok Hotel Bangalore, a 5-star property centrally located in Bengaluru.
Named after the World Green Infrastructure Network, which has been organizing the event since 2007 annually in a different member country, WGIC is an authoritative event on the subject, with significant promise of delivery on the subject.
The 2 day World Green Infrastructure Congress 2018, where the brightest minds in Green Infrastructural Research and Application discuss the evolving trends and practices in Green Building Technologies, and Urban Planning. Participate and gain access to a line-up of leading expert panellists, speakers, trainings sessions, interactive workshops, strategic networking sessions and world-class excursions to some of the Bengaluru’s best green projects.
The event is conceptualized to address Urban Infrastructural developments, with environmental considerations taken into purview. Some of the topics which would be touched upon include the greening of buildings (greening of roofs, façades and indoor areas), with the associated accompanying topics (e. g. urban climate, rainwater management, sustainability).
