The Gevora Hotel which officially opened its doors in Dubai a few days ago is now the world’s tallest hotel. The Gevora Hotel has been officially recognized by the Guinness World Records as the world’s tallest hotel – topping out at an incredible 356 meters high (1,168 feet). The previous record holder was JW Marriott Marquis located just a few miles away from Gevora. The Al Attar Group developed structure, Gevora Hotel, is one meter taller than JW Marriott Marquis. However, The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong, is still the world’s highest hotel located on the 102nd to 118th floors of the 488-meter International Commerce Centre.
Designed in Art-Deco style the hotel has 528 rooms, the smallest of which is 46 square meters. You can have an idea of the standard of luxury offered by the hotel from the fact that guests enter the building through revolving doors coated in solid gold! The hotel has the highest rooftop swimming pool in the world, a record previously held by Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands. There is an open-air pool on its 12th floor, with views of the Burj Khalifa. Interior is full of gold-tinted glass and gold accents, cool geometric shapes and contemporary finishes.
The hotel has four health clubs and a 71st-floor observation deck, which provides views of the Burj Khalifa and other high-profile structures in Dubai. However, it is four star hotel and doesn’t have a liquor license. If you are expecting just a good bed, a good cup of coffee, and convenience it is the ideal hotel to be in in Dubai.
