With a civil engineering degree (from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology) Vivek Mishra had come to Delhi in 1997. Having tried his luck at a couple of jobs, he soon had discovered that conventional working was not what he would restrict himself to. One of Mishra’s friends was already working for a company making swimming pools. They both pooled in their knowledge and contemplated a venture of their own for about a year when finally in 1998 they started a company together. However, this saw an unsteady phase and they had to wrap up this venture within three years. It was then in 2002 when Vivek Mishra decided to restart. He established Premium Pools and from that time there has been no looking back. The company has already built over 300 pools primarily in north India. Since then, Premium Pools built many pools for exporters, business people and big builders. The pool closest to his heart is the one built for ATS Village in Noida. This catapulted Premium Pools from a 2.5 million firm to a 10 million organization.
Today Premium Pools is a Rs 25 crore organization having exclusive tie-ups with best in the international industry. In its path to growth, the company is ‘changing the way people think of pools’. In absence of any existing standards in India, Mishra aims to bring in the best of technological know-how from abroad. This takes him places around the world and while he travels, he gets a chance to hone his photographic skills along the way.
